Shinji Watanabe, the Johns Hopkins professor and core developer of open-source speech toolkits like ESPnet, announced his Google Scholar h-index has reached 100.
His first paper was published in 1999. He credits the milestone to students and collaborators across academia and industry, plus the open-source community and shared research challenges.
