Former FTC Chair Lina Khan told ABC News' This Week that relying on "tremendous self-regulation" for AI would be a tremendous mistake. She argued the idea that new tech capabilities grant a blanket exemption from existing laws is "totally laughable," saying current laws could help regulate AI companies but Congress still needs to legislate.
