Brundage: Altman's Politico interview example was false, OAI and Anthropic nearly identical

- Miles Brundage, former OpenAI policy lead, called out Sam Altman's Politico interview: when pressed for an actual example, Altman's claim ("Anthropic supports a licensing regime for sub-frontier models") was completely false.
- Quoting Altman's line that "the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology," Brundage argued OpenAI and Anthropic are basically identical in the big scheme, and both occupy a vastly different ideological place than most of the world — willing to accept a high risk of catastrophe to keep racing.
