Miles_Brundage · x · 2026-10-05
Miles Brundage, former OpenAI policy lead, argued that in the big scheme of things OpenAI and Anthropic are basically identical—and that both sit in a vastly different ideological place than most of the world, willing to accept a high risk of catastrophe to keep racing ahead.
He added that it is especially galling when OpenAI comes under fire for recent incidents that are clearly more about sloppiness than any difference in philosophy.
