Brundage pushes back on Altman: OpenAI and Anthropic have little real daylight

Former OpenAI safety exec Miles Brundage pushed back on Sam Altman's POLITICO interview claim that OpenAI and Anthropic differ fundamentally on AI regulation worldview. Brundage argues "there really isn't a lot of daylight": both companies impose some values while leaving things open-ended, rarely open source, run widely used free products, and give the best cyber tools to defenders — a case of the narcissism of small differences.
