Dev builds Grokbot-style Hermes agent console: Telegram gateway, local-remote task routing
Teknium · x · 2026-10-05
Developer alexhvnsen unveiled "Alan's way", a Hermes-based agent setup he calls the Grokbot killer. Highlights:
- Telegram API as the UI gateway, described as the most consistent gateway for Hermes with built-in bot feedback and signals
- Hermes bots live on a VM but optimally run tasks on a local MacBook — one home, multiple workplaces, Grokbot-style
- ChatGPT-app-style browser and agent browser experience
- Controllable window into the bot's virtual desktops with near-seamless local↔remote handoff: close the laptop and certain tasks auto-route to the VM
- Native proactivity mode for the lead bot
A hands-on personal build with detailed multi-device agent orchestration ideas worth borrowing.
