Even if ants were proven conscious, society wouldn't act on it — and that mirrors AI's consciousness dilemma

The author argues animal consciousness already raises the same moral dilemmas as AI consciousness: even if science proved ants are conscious, it still wouldn't be economically or socially viable to treat people who kill ants at home like mass murderers. A reminder that establishing sentience and acting on it socially are two very different problems.
