Applying Musk's three-rule management law to AI agents: clarify, question or execute
dotey · x · 2026-10-05
A viral post maps Elon Musk's management rules onto AI agents: on receiving a clear instruction, an agent may only (1) explain why the instruction is wrong, (2) ask for clarification if it's ambiguous, or (3) execute. Otherwise it's out. The joke: agents don't fear being fired. As a prompt pattern — letting agents push back on bad instructions — it's actually a usable idea.
