Eric Buess's screenless setup: one voice hub orchestrating every frontier model
EricBuess · x · 2026-10-05
Replying to Andrej Karpathy, Eric Buess proposes "just-in-time understanding": a system that, starting from your goals, extracts what you need based on what you know, where your gaps are, and how you learn best — delivering the experience at the right time and context (driving, running, with family). He argues video is already a better medium, and the endgame is AI-generated understanding fitted to you.
His blog describes a fully screenless practice:
- He avoids computer, tablet, and phone screens entirely, interacting only via bidirectional voice with a hub called Titus.
- Titus orchestrates all frontier models as one distributed agent system, autonomously completing complex long-running tasks.
- He measures success by time from task assignment to landing, and tasks landed per hour/week.
- The goal: use AI to spend less time on what matters less and more on what matters most.
