Commenter binarybits argues the past 18 months fully vindicated the thesis that Tesla has no special sauce and must do the same city-by-city slog as Waymo. He adds that Tesla is scaling a bit faster than Waymo did in 2020-21, but catching up will still take at least a couple more years.
