A perfect physics simulation of a balloon still isn't a balloon—so why entertain AI consciousness?

Investor Rob Leclerc offers an analogy: even a highly detailed 3D physics simulation of a balloon is not actually a balloon, no matter how fine the model. By the same logic, we shouldn't entertain the idea that AI is conscious—the simulation and the thing simulated are categorically different.
