alessioserra announced Kolibri-1, an open-weight language model from Germany's Aleph Alpha positioned as a smart, fast European alternative, released under Apache 2.0. Independent free browser demos (Tesseracted Labs: 10 messages/day per IP for guests, 1,000/day registered, optional Brave Search context) and API access are live, and weights are downloadable on Hugging Face.
