ADHD subreddit bans all AI discussion with permabans, sparking backlash over lost benefits
Kyrannio · x · 2026-10-04
- The ADHD subreddit has banned any discussion involving AI, with permanent bans for anyone attempting to circumvent the rule.
- Critics on X argue this is self-defeating: AI genuinely helps people with ADHD by reducing activation energy and closing the idea-execution gap — the core struggle of the condition.
- The ban is being called "virtue signaling and puritanism," highlighting a split between community governance and practical tool value within the community itself.
