Runway unveils open-weight world action model Praxis-1 with 0.95 sim-to-real correlation
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-04
Runway Research announced Praxis-1, its first open-weight world action model that turns large-scale video pretraining into real-robot control. The team reports that simulating robot policies inside their world model correlates with real-world results at 0.95, outperforming costlier 3D-reconstruction approaches. Praxis-1 is rolling out to early partners including Noble Machines, Standard Bots, and Ultra on their own hardware, with a public release in the coming months. The bet: video is effectively limitless compared to expensive real-world robot data, and the best policy models will learn from it.
