Dev builds fully code-generated drivable Mars demo with Claude Opus 5.5: 23.7 hours, ~$259 in API costs

Developer AndreiProvkin has shipped a drivable Mars 3D demo generated from a single reference image, where every pixel and every sound — car, terrain, trees, buildings, engine audio — is pure code with zero downloaded assets.

The whole thing was built with Claude Opus 5.5 across 42 sessions and 23h 42m of active coding time, producing over 10.5k lines of code at roughly $259 in API pricing. The stack is three.js with TSL, and a playable link is available.

It's a striking showcase of long-horizon autonomous coding: no art assets, code-only graphics and audio, at a surprisingly low cost.
