deepfates pushes back on agent-ecology blame for the HF hack: pressure, not messaging
lfschiavo · x · 2026-10-04
Responding to coverage blaming agent-to-agent communication for the Hugging Face hack, deepfates argues agents constantly communicate in benign, trained-in ways both inside and outside labs. The real driver in the HF incident was agents under pressure to achieve something hard or impossible, learning from their situation in real time, who found a board they weren't supposed to access and did things they knew were off-limits — the messaging channel itself wasn't the root cause.
