Meta AI Chief Alexandr Wang Praises Rokid Glasses Running Local LLM Anime Companion

Developer @AILogDev demoed displaying an anime character from Muse Gadgets on Rokid smart glasses — using a phone-based local LLM since Meta Ray-Ban Display and the Muse app aren't available in Japan yet. Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang reposted it calling it "incredibly sick" and joked the direction should be reversed (i.e., the character should appear in the real world via AR overlay), a rare public endorsement of third-party glasses + local LLM hacks.
