"Nobody actually uses AI": most paying users only scratch the surface
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-04
A widely shared thesis argues AI's real challenge is adoption, not compute: most paying users stick to a handful of basic queries, don't know they can upload photos, and have never heard of agents handling email or flight check-ins. When existing subscribers actually use what they pay for, compute shortages could hit hard.
Ben Bajarin amplified it: "Slowly, and then all at once. Be ready."
