vista8 · x · 2026-10-04
Developer vista8 released a new "video reading mode" for his open-source Chrome extension Qiaomu Clipper (qiaomu-clipper on GitHub), turning subtitled YouTube/Bilibili videos into a side-by-side reading experience.
Press A three times on any subtitled video to see the player and transcript on one screen. Features include bilingual display (Chinese translation under the English transcript), timestamp click-to-jump, AI Q&A on highlighted text, and Obsidian integration for note-taking. Ideal for long podcasts, interviews, and course videos.
