A Reddit user reports OpenAI Codex is roughly 10x slower than Claude in tokens per second, and that its harness is poor for heavily parallelized work via subagents.
The author holds 4 Claude Max plans plus a ChatGPT plan to try Astra, but found it "completely useless for getting any work out," preferring Claude Code for real engineering tasks.
