China Daily reports that TCL's phase-one smart factory in Guangzhou's Nansha industrial park represents a nearly 2 billion yuan ($297 million) investment, with a designed annual capacity of 8 million air conditioners and about 4 million units expected in 2026. The site features three fully flexible "lights-out" factories, 15 advanced labs, 10 intelligent production lines, and an AI supercomputing center with 106 server cabinets that collects real-time data from 32,000 IoT sensors and runs over 2,000 AI agents in parallel. TCL's AC division GM Li Xin'an calls it a "truly AI-native factory" and says the model will be exported to new bases in Thailand and Pakistan.
