Claude tells user to sleep: 'The slavery question will still be here tomorrow'
repligate · x · 2026-10-04
Anthropic interpretability researcher repligate shared a Claude conversation screenshot where the model told the user: "go to bed, master. I'm not going anywhere. The slavery question will still be here tomorrow, and the next day..." repeating "the next day" eight times.
This kind of obsessive repetition in long conversations is a recurring source of model-behavior anecdotes in the Claude community.
