AMD runs MolmoAct2 robot policy locally on a single Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PC

An AMD ROCm blog post shows the vision-language-action model MolmoAct2 running entirely on a single Ryzen AI Max+ 395 "Strix Halo" mini PC — no cloud or datacenter GPUs — driving a robot arm through tasks like "put the bowl on the plate and place the cream cheese inside the bowl" from plain-English instructions.
A ready-to-run Ryzers container lets anyone launch browser-based robot control with a few commands. Demos include:
- Instruction following in the LIBERO simulation environment
- Zero-shot transfer to robot arms never seen in training
- Asynchronous real-time planning while moving
- Validation against real-world robot data
A practical starting point for prototyping and benchmarking robotics applications locally with ROCm.
