One-Line Paper Reviews: Open-Source Reviewer Runs on Codex or Claude Code
stevenstrogatz · x · 2026-10-03
Ingar updated his open-source Paper Reviewer (191 GitHub stars), a reproducible multi-agent review system for academic economics papers that now equally supports Codex and Claude Code backends; he personally gives Sol 6.1 the edge over Opus 5.5.
Install and review in one line:
uvx --from git+https://github.com/Ingar30/reviewer economics-paper-reviewer --backend codex --pdf "paper.pdf"
Pipeline: local PDF preprocessing into faithful text, coordinates, page images, tables, figures, citations and cross-references → parser-quality preflight → substantive review with reviewer prompts, validation, normalization, and editor assembly. Papers and reports stay local.
