Developer ryolu reflects on "convergence to the mean" in the AI era: when everyone looks at everyone else to decide what to make, we eventually stop making anything of our own.
We copy what works and borrow the same language, aesthetics, and features, calling it "learning from the market" or "following best practices." The result: everything feels familiar, polished, and interchangeable — nothing wrong, but nothing alive either.
