Terafab reportedly targets 1 TW of compute per year, ~50x current global AI output
XFreeze · x · 2026-10-03
Citing an unconfirmed report, XFreeze argues that any TSMC contribution to Terafab would be merely supplemental — Terafab itself is set to be absurdly massive. Its stated goal is producing 1 TW of compute per year, roughly 50x the current global output of AI compute. This wouldn't be just another fab, but a buildout at a scale the semiconductor industry has never operated at.
