Fake Intel N150 mini PC scam exposed: seller hardcoded 'New_N150' into BIOS string
Ok-Shower7286 · reddit · 2026-10-03
A developer building a RAG node for Qwen 27B bought a cheap AliExpress mini PC advertised as Intel N150 + DDR4/DDR5, but received a 2018-era Core i3-7020U (2C/4T) with DDR3 1600MHz. The seller literally hardcoded NewN150 into the BIOS release string as camouflage. The machine can barely index a text file; the buyer is filing a credit card chargeback.
