arXiv trends suggest AI uplift hits quantum physics within a year, all physics by late 2029
cephaloform · x · 2026-10-03
Using arXiv publication trends as a proxy, the author estimates when AI will provide as much research uplift to a field as it does to mathematics today: quantum physics could reach that point within a year, physics as a whole by late 2029, while biology's curve has barely moved yet. A rough but observable cross-discipline comparison, not a causal claim.
