Product management is back: personal AI agents win on UX, not the model
salgar · x · 2026-10-03
Citing Sriram Krishnan: product management is making a comeback in designing personal AI agents. Instinct, Dot, Muse and Grok Bot all do significant product work tying UX to underlying model capabilities and service access — users rarely care about the model, but care about the little touches (Muse's activity notifications, Instinct's thumbs-up emoji for acknowledging messages). This contrasts with the conventional "upgrade to the latest model" path.
