ADHD user builds a one-task-at-a-time system with a Claude Project that hides the full list
Last_Switch_8500 · reddit · 2026-10-03
An ADHD user shares a Claude Project setup built on a single rule: Claude never shows the complete task list.
The workflow: dump everything into the chat unordered, Claude sorts it and shows only the next task with a time limit; when time's up, a scheduled ping asks if it's done and hands over the next item; a nightly report stores what's done, what's blocked on others, and estimated vs. actual times, and the next morning's chat resumes from it.
The author explains why this works for ADHD: with one task visible there's nothing else on screen to bail to, a single 30-minute box lowers the activation barrier, pings act as an external clock for time blindness, and stray thoughts get parked in one line without derailing. Day one: packed with 16 items under 4 hours of work, the most time-sensitive got done and the rest moved forward with a written plan. The author offers to share the Project instructions.
