PhD student finds Claude Opus makes far better Minecraft mods than OpenAI's Astra

A theoretical physics PhD student had OpenAI's Astra build a Justice League Minecraft mod and found the results genuinely bad: clumsy power talismans, a lazy speed effect for speedsters, and unbalanced gameplay.
After switching to Anthropic's 20x plan via a 50% discount, he had Opus 5.5 redo the mod. The result was dramatically better: smooth, realistic flight animations, power acquisition that respected both game progression and comic lore, one-shot publication-quality graphics for his paper, and solid responses to peer review.
He finds OpenAI's Fable slightly smarter but thinks Ultra Pro isn't worth it, and with OpenAI's recently reduced usage generosity, he's switching to Anthropic immediately.
