Robotics startup Silica debuts affordable actuators with 10x force sensitivity

Founder Enrico Milletti announced Silica, a new robotics startup building redesigned actuators that sense forces directly—claiming 10x the sensitivity of conventional designs while keeping costs affordable—so that robots can physically feel the world around them. The company has early backing from fdotinc, Y Combinator, and UP.Partners.
