NUS, Tsinghua, PKU and 4 more universities open-source OpenWAM world-action foundation model

Seven universities including NUS, Tsinghua and Peking University open-sourced OpenWAM, a full-stack foundation model for World–Action Models that unifies world modeling with action control.
- Motivation: robots must predict how the environment changes and which actions cause that change; video generation models learn world evolution while robot trajectories provide executable action supervision — previously kept in separate systems.
- Stack: OpenWAM-Infra (modular infrastructure), OpenWAM-Study (distilled design principles), and OpenWAM-α (validated on large-scale human first-person data).
