Reddit user says Opus 5.5 burns weekly cap at 300M tokens, down from 1-2B before
Chemical-Ad-7982 · reddit · 2026-10-03
A heavy user reports that after switching to Opus 5.5 they hit the weekly cap at just 300M tokens, versus 1-2 billion tokens weekly they previously consumed — even though Opus 5.5 is nominally cheaper per token. They suspect reduced subscription quotas, though their new heavy use of subagents could also explain the spike. No official response yet.
