Self-sensing actuator senses forces down to 1g, 50x more precise than standard Chinese actuators

Silica (enricomilletti), a robotics hardware team backed by Founders, Inc, showed off a self-sensing actuator that can detect forces as small as 1g — claimed to be 50x more precise than the Chinese actuators that are standard across robotics. The team argues this precision will dramatically improve robot training data and capabilities. A video diving into the work was shared; Founders, Inc also promoted its 42,000 sq ft Fort Mason campus and Blueprint II program in the linked page.
