Databricks CEO: Zoom's Meeting Data Trove Could Disrupt Enterprise SaaS
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-03
Databricks cofounder and CEO Ali Ghodsi argues Zoom has a massive chance to build an AI-first product that seriously disrupts traditional enterprise SaaS. Enterprise software's biggest pain is data entry and coordination, and Zoom already sits on the raw input: video, audio, and transcripts of every customer call and internal meeting. If Zoom can reliably extract decisions, context, and action items and write them back into the right system of record, it becomes an AI-first workflow layer — the front door for work, replacing many SaaS tools that exist mainly to collect notes and updates.
