The FSD math: $1,200/year subscription avoids $6,000 of crash harm, author argues

Working from NHTSA data, jamesdouma lays out a back-of-envelope case for Tesla FSD's value:
- A car that is 5x safer avoids roughly $6,000 of harm per year.
- About $4,800 of that is uncompensated death and disability borne by vehicle occupants.
- FSD costs just $1,200 per year.
His conclusion: on safety economics alone, FSD is priced well below the value it delivers.
