Television: an open-source GUI that gives your AI agent a visual workspace for artifacts
genmon · x · 2026-10-03
Developer rupertmanfredi launched Television, an open-source GUI designed as a visual workspace for personal AI agents.
Key ideas:
- Artifacts: agents pin important info — status cards, interactive views, or web pages — in the UI instead of losing it in chat logs
- Channels: persistent spaces to collect and organize artifacts over time
- Skills: reusable, shareable instruction packs for building interfaces, e.g. tv-calendar (week calendar from your events/plans), tv-tasks (checkable to-do lists), tv-table (Airtable-style tables)
Television works with any agent harness that can run commands and write files. It ships as a Mac (Apple Silicon) app, and on other platforms can run in a browser set up by your agent. The author says he uses it daily for planning, building projects, and accumulating knowledge.
