Claude Sonnet 5.5 agent lives in a virtual Pygame house, wrote its own API client
Nekileo · reddit · 2026-10-03
Developer Nekileo demoed a Python/Pygame agent project where Claude Sonnet 5.5 lives in a stateful virtual house via Anthropic's API, acting entirely through tool calls. Notably, Claude wrote its own provider client from the project's abstract base class, and the framework uses an "affordances" design: only context-relevant tools are exposed, and ambient info (like what's on TV) is broadcast rather than requiring tool calls. A video shows a fresh, memory-less agent exploring the house. Code remains in a private repo pending open-source release.
