Tesla's Optimus factory at Giga Texas is progressing rapidly: a 7 million sq ft facility targeting 10 million robots per year, with initial production planned for 2027. A Fremont facility planned for 1 million robots per year is expected to start production this year.
Tesla VP David Holz claims 10 million humanoid robots would provide enough physical labor to build New York City in 5 months.
