A longtime OpenAI customer posted on Reddit that after paying for a subscription on the web, his bank shows the transaction as fully captured while OpenAI's billing system marks the invoice Void and no subscription was provisioned.
- He says support kept insisting it was likely a temporary authorization, repeatedly asking him to verify the transaction status and account despite screenshots, before finally escalating to a human with a multi-day response time.
- He has opened a bank dispute; he says he only wanted the subscription he paid for, not a refund.
