One photo in, printable part out: Opus 5.5 modeled a rain cover in Blender in 3 iterations
rms80 · x · 2026-10-03
rms80 shares a striking case: his wife's new ebike had no rain cover for the battery port, so he took one photo and had Claude Opus 5.5 build the part in Blender.
The first try fit, but after 3 prompt revisions the design was great. The model is parametric — yet he has no idea how to edit params in Blender, he just says "add an extra mm of space" and the AI does it. It also generated test-fit gauge parts that printed in minutes, making iteration extremely fast.
