Microsoft Code may be the sleeper of the Sept 25 announcement: coding agent as work agent
pswider · x · 2026-10-03
While everyone is talking about Home and Autopilot from Microsoft's September 25 announcement, the author argues Code is the sleeper.
Microsoft Code is built on the same underlying tech as GitHub Copilot, which already offers multiple models including Grok 4.7 — potentially making Code powerful and economical by matching the right model to each workload. Drawing on his own experience using Codex for Microsoft 365 work (inbox, documents, research, workflows), he argues the "coding" agent is becoming the work agent.
