Atlassian survey: 80% of product teams ship faster with AI, but decisions haven't sped up

Atlassian's State of Product 2027 report surveyed 1,000 senior product professionals across the US, Germany and France. Key findings:
- 80% of product teams say they ship faster with AI, yet customers aren't getting value sooner: 69% report decision-making is exactly as slow as before — code and docs sped up, but output still waits on the same debates.
- AI adoption is saturated: 99% say AI is fully integrated into workflows, so having it is no longer an edge.
- The PM role is blurring: 89% do other functions' work with AI, and 67% can no longer clearly define their role.
The takeaway: AI fixed the production bottleneck, not the organizational decision-making one.
