Maestaris turns ChatGPT chats into scheduled GitHub workers
Your_Quantum_Friend · reddit · 2026-10-03
After discovering GitHub can be connected to regular ChatGPT conversations, a developer built open-source Maestaris: chats act as workers — one tracks the big picture, another works an issue, another reviews — with the GitHub repo as shared state and scheduled chats picking up tasks periodically, so you can wake up to commits and PRs.
The pitch: reuse an existing ChatGPT Plus subscription instead of paying for another API-based agent, and mix workers across platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) coordinating through one repo. The author sees ChatGPT Dots and GrokBot as validation of the idea. Repo: github.com/Siddharthgolecha/Maestaris.
