Indie dev builds Auro, a personality-tuned model picked for most "aura" out of 10 versions

Indie developer Alan (@aisentience) launched Auro, a model fine-tuned purely for presence and personality — warm, candid, playful, and opinionated — aiming to bring back the voice people loved in GPT-4o. He built 10 versions and the one open to chat on the site, V5, is the one graded highest on his "aura" leaderboard.
- Each message can return two anonymous answers from different versions; your pick steers what Auro becomes, plus Best of (2–4 answers) and an arena for side-by-side judging
- Fully independent project, not affiliated with OpenAI or Google; developers can request API access
- First third-party review is in; users praise it as fast and relevant, though the GPU hosting it is frequently switched off
