moultano jokingly asked Google whether there was a Greco-Roman god of sewers to pray to for a friend's failing plumbing project — and there is: Cloacina, the Roman goddess who presided over the Cloaca Maxima, Rome's great sewer, with a shrine in the Roman Forum.
