Private AI Proxy lands on Mac: attested AI routing and credential isolation for coding agents
bgmshana · x · 2026-10-03
- Private AI Proxy (by Hashforest Technology) is a free macOS desktop client for developers using confidential AI services, now live on the Mac App Store.
- Core mechanism: before a coding agent sends code or prompts, the app verifies the remote service's attested identity and model catalog, blocking requests when verification fails; ships with a RedPill profile and supports RedPill, Phala, and compatible ACI services.
- Credential isolation: provider API keys and OAuth credentials stay in the macOS Keychain, with each agent receiving only a revocable local token.
- Supports Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Pi, Hermes, OpenClaw, Oh My Pi, with new DeepSeek Harness support — one switch takes over agent configs without changing them.
- Offers local usage views (status, model, token usage, estimated cost, signed-receipt verification) without storing prompt/response content.
