20-Year Video Veteran: Claude Built Our Entire Launch Video and Soundtrack in Code, Overnight
Dependent-Dish3384 · reddit · 2026-10-02
A former music-video director used Claude to produce a SaaS-style launch video for his product Hovercast Events in one night, five versions plus final tweaks from plain-English notes:
- Every frame is code: HTML + GSAP animation rendered frame-by-frame in a headless browser at 1080p60 — no After Effects, Premiere, or templates.
- The soundtrack is synthesized in Python: drums, Rhodes, harp, strings, even vocal chops. No samples, no stock music.
- Claude pulled the logo, screenshots and hero reel from the company site; iterations were guided by taste-driven notes ("more like Four Tet or Burial"), and the final project shipped with a README so it can be rebuilt from scratch.
- Honest caveats: Claude can't watch playback (only still frames and audio measurements), taste still mattered, and it ate a big chunk of his weekly usage limit.
A year ago this would have cost big money and weeks of a motion designer's and composer's time.
