AWS introduces Adjudicated Query pattern: rules engine keeps LLM compliance sweeps provably complete
AWS ML Blog · rss · 2026-10-02
AWS ML Blog introduces the Adjudicated Query pattern for large-scale compliance screening: the LLM only translates questions into calls on a fixed set of six MCP tools and narrates results, while all pass/fail determinations stay in a deterministic, versioned rules engine. Every sweep produces a completeness receipt (compliant + breach + ambiguous + unreadable must equal scanned), eliminating the silent population-narrowing risk of RAG and text-to-SQL. Reference architecture uses Amazon Quick chat, Lambda-hosted MCP server, and Aurora Serverless v2 as a single source of truth; the pattern applies to sanctions screening, insurance adjudication, and export control.
